Vacant Unit Routines allow property team members to manage vacant units efficiently by locking doors and setting thermostat configurations across multiple units at once. These routines are accessed through the Property Utilities menu in Sapphire and help ensure vacant units remain secure and energy-efficient.

Locking Vacant Units

Use the Lock Up routine to secure all vacant unit door locks on a property.

Step 1: Unlock the Demo Unit Door

Before running the Lock Up routine:

• Unlock the door lock on the demo unit you plan to use for verification.

This ensures you can confirm the routine completed successfully.

Step 2: Access Routines in Sapphire

• Navigate to the Routines section in Sapphire </aside>

Step 3: Select the Lock Up Routine

• On the Routines page, locate the Lock Up routine
• Click Go on the Lock Up widget </aside>

Step 4: Run the Lock Up Routine

• Click Run to lock all vacant unit door locks on the property </aside>

Step 5: Monitor Progress

• Monitor the routine’s progress in Sapphire
• Once complete, verify that the demo unit’s door lock is secure </aside>

Setting Thermostats for Vacant Units

Use this routine to apply consistent thermostat settings across all vacant units.

• Navigate to the Routines section </aside>

Step 2: Select the Set Thermostats Routine

• On the Routines page, locate the Set Thermostats routine
• Click Go on the Set Thermostats widget </aside>

Step 3: Configure Thermostat Settings

• Enter the desired Set Point
• Select the appropriate Operating Mode for vacant units </aside>

Step 4: Run the Thermostat Routine

• Click Run to apply the thermostat settings to all vacant units </aside>

• Review progress in the Routine History table
• Once complete, confirm the demo unit’s thermostat reflects the selected set point and operating mode </aside>
